It's all massivly exciting and a little daunting. Some Larp friends might not see us for a while though as priorities get shifted.

The Ice Hotel break is something of a celebration, somewhere Roo has always wanted to go and I think it's going to be an ideal time to get away.

Event done and sleep cycle returning to normal, mainly tired but reminded of how much I enjoy actuation. A few niggles and things that didn't go well but for the most part the player base seemed entertained. I think we did a pretty good job. Cuffley though was very strange to go back to, especially after getting used to it being half an hour down the road, 4 and a half hour drive was just plain wierd.

Ars Magicka this weekend, first session and first tabletop I've run since the move... slightly nervy, although I've done more prep for this then I've ever done for a tabletop game before I still don't feel it's quite enough.

Really looking forward to it though.

Shopping tonight for food for my house guests and probably doing "The Battle of Darrowshire" on warcraft with my guild. The culmination of a really nice plotline involving trying to save the soul of a dead child and her Father. Tonight we summon all the ghosts and undead who took place in the original battle and try to change the course of history. Revenant plot no.2 but I'm really looking forward to it, oh and we're going to need at least 10 people there to assist, last time we tried it we got so wiped out.

now though, off home for lunch... the perks of Yorkshire life :)

Had one of the best weekends Larp for a while and then I got bit of a case of heatstroke things went a bit blurry and I ended up without a character. I do hate losing the things, especially Larp ones it's the danger that makes the immersion complete though, without the chance of losing the character there would be no real investment in playing it.

So exit stage left one character and this time I didn't have another waiting in the wings (although I am working on that one).

Lost some sleep last night, reliving 'the moment' as I always do and now I'm just trying to fill the void of plans and schemes that I had.

The challenges now are the old difficult ones.

* To play something distinctive from the last one.
* To build a new set of relationships again.
* To decide a new set of win conditions and decide what game I want to play with the new guy.
* To find a first name that is distinctive, fits and isn't common so I can take it and shape it.
* To find the right look of kit so that I can properly immerse myself in the new character.
* To find myself a reference for the character that I can soak up before playing him.

Some of these are done, some are not and I've only got this week to sort it.
